After my sleep was rudely disturbed by an “Apocalypse Now” helicopter outside my window, I decided after my weekend of indulgence on yummy food and ice cream for breakfast (it was my birthday) should be worked off, and dragged my dad to take me windsurfing.  After a short drive to Nairns, WE rigged up 3.9 wave sail on QE II, and finished off with the Delta 24. We were also met by Stroppo, who was over joyed at the prospect of fixing electrical equipment in company with the flies and cowpats of Dwellingup. After this long chat the breeze was blowing a gale, nevertheless I was hopelessly optimistic and got started… Well it was a very slow start, though after changing the out haul I could finally hold the sail down. I am proud to announce that I went 20km/h, got planing, completed an alpha and did a water start…… All in a days work!!!!!!

just would not track straight.

used a 102 rrd x fire with a 17 muf delta and a 7.8 severne R4

Wow Ratz, were you letting your Zaphod loose today? 17 delta with a 7.8! I can't quite figure out whether to respect the courage or scratch my head, mutter and just walk away....:-)

Welcome Fifi! I am jealous. It took me about 20 years to get an alpha...

You obviously have your Dad's knack for a story also.
