Happy for a cruisier day today. Went down to check out Cockies with Rob and Pete. Bit more wind but choppier.Found a rockier bottom in spots, and glad for the booties. Sailed back up top for a few easy runs on the flat. Wind was 15-18k SSE and a bit gusty but fun.79,10.5,6.6.
A couple of pics. The first is Rob - top of the lake. The second is Pete and last is the swans enjoying the flatwater. Cheers from the crew.
bit tricky to get pics with people who are camera shy..

Falcon Slalom 79, Vector Speed Weed 27, KA Race 7.1
3rd day here, third day sailing, each day special for it's own reason. Today was good because I rigged what I wanted and it was just right. Cut out the noise, opinions and numbers and just sailed for sailings sake. Really fun slalom sesh despite the choppy and gusty conditions. The 7.1 had her first rigging today, and it felt great, rotated really well, handled the gusts nicely and looks fantastic.
Tomorrow supposed to be windy so today was just a short sharp session to keep the muscles lubricated.

I was a bit lost today after my coach went home to wear lycra with his kiting mates.
Hit the water at 3. Was supposed to be a lighter day so rigged for gybe practice. Must admit, I am shocked by these numbers. I would never have believed I could get my 111 FSW going that quick. And I was so focused on getting upwind for my next stacked gybe that I don't think I even beared away. That 2 sec is faster than I've had my 91 slalom going. Crazy. Gary's going to spew that I didn't take the slalom
An amazing cruisey day. Just do not get conditions like that to practice gybes at home. 76km and 4 dry gybes. That's A LOT of stacks. What I lack in skill I make up for in stubborness. Just one more... maybe I'll get this one... one more try... maybe this next one... this time I'll...
Very grateful to Jimbob for keeping me company at the end of the day. Straight off the water to a delicious team dinner - thanks so much Pete and Marauders!!
