Yes, very enjoyable session. Unfortunately I left my GPS at home, so no data from me. My barge's fin box finally gave up. The 8.5 must have been too much for the old girl. Not sure what to do next. 

So this might be the end of the Barge or can Jak step up and repair it??

Jerry, I reckon you probably would have had faster speeds anyway. I didnt feel too fast on Sunday, but quite enjoyed it anyway. Struggled to catch you and Ian most of the time. The 42cm fin was great at first but I think it was a bit too big when the wind picked up. Should have changed to the 38cm.

Jak - sorry to hear about the finbox. Time for a new/second hand barge?

...JAK will step up and attempt a repair, the most challenging one yet  . Got a Chinook power box today for $20 from SHQ's parts bin. Will be a major operation one day. Not sure how it ends.  I will check out Ian's Futura 122 in the next days to see if that could be a suitable replacement, 13L less but I heard that Futuras are early planers.

Urs, I tried to repair the finbox before, had a minor crack next to it on the underside which I strengthened with carbon fibre, but there must have been a weakness throughout after 7 years of abuse. It now came loose at the deck too. May be that's why the board felt so strange on port tack, the fin must leant on an angle
