Mackay, QLD, AU

Morning sail before the tide dropped. Nearly didn't bother as it was belting down rain in the morning but the rain stopped, the wind came in and turned out a great sail on small B&J gear. Plenty of jumps, a few rain squalls, the odd chance  for a bearaway on the last of the tide between the wave lines. Naish Freeride 84L, Repaired KA Koyote 5.3, Repaired SL9 fin.

Sailpilot was already there but no GPS, so trechnically he didn't sail.

iS90, 6.3RBlade, 33 CL Sl2 - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU ESE 14-20kn

Bit of an indifferent day with wind very up and down but more the latter so mostly underdone.  Had an innocuous off early and wasn't being careful waterstarting when I sliced the outside top of my foot with the tip of the fin.  Cut bled for much of the session and is quite sore now but not stitch worthy.  Surprised with the Nm as it definitely didn't feel fast for most of it.  No need to say there wasn't any turf to really pull the trigger and just took my chances in some pretty messed up water.

Green Island, QLD, AU

Headed to the island on the very full Chinese chunder express.Frown Nice 20 to 30 with heavy rain all the way out which cleared just as we got to the island.

First day at the island with my new 6.2m R6 Overdrive, very impressed! Very stable in the gusty 20 to 30Knt and rotates sooooo much better than the 2012 model it has replaced.

Good fun sailing but the wind had way to much east, making the speed run very rough and too broad for good speeds.

Used Isonic 90 and SS49, R6 Overdrive 6.2, Viper 32 and Venom 26Cool

Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU.   Ian and I went to the Dam after being scared off the coast by talk of all the rain which I dont think really eventuated. We had a reasonable sail for the dam --- planning 60% time and overpowered 10% of time. Wind roughly 15-20 kn. Anyone going anywhere tomorrow ????

Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU - Exocet TB100, Severne 7m and 36 cm fin.

Only James Drinnan myself and a couple of junor champian Sabot sailers training for their next event.

Typical Tinaroo, up and down , lots of down time , with a couple of good runs,  forcast to better tomorrow.

Clifton Beach, QLD, AU JP 93 RSRE5 6.4 Tribal SW 27

Bad choices today.Lots of rain around ,lots of debris in the water ,shifty southerly breeze that kept dropping out .Chose the smaller gear based on the numbers on the live reader when I got home from work -said 20knots gusting to 30 ...MMmmmm

Couple of semi powered up runs ,wind dropped ,swung to SW & left me with a 2klm swim into Ellis Beach 8klms North of where it all started .

Glad to make it back & thanks again to the long suffering Catherine for coming to collect ...FrownYell

Sweet numbers Kel but that nm is woeful Wink  Chinese Chunder express - At least sweet & sour looks the same in reverse too.

Troy, nice work on the freeride gear. BTW - who's Sailpilot? Wink

Least we all sailed in the same state today (Cairns / Mackay / Yeppoon - only 1100 kms between them)

A hat trick of happy sailors. Well done lads. Thinking I might head up to Tinaroo mid morning. BOM seemingly suggests some reasonable wind to be had and the rain will be more coastal than inland. Have the welcome mat out Ian, James, Herb and Hans.

Cam, I don't think anyone could ever compete with you for skunking or breakage adventures.  That's a big swim with gear.
