James Farley (12722km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU Exocet RS4, TR8 7.6 / 7.0, Vmax 41 - Wind S 10-20 kts Nice afternoon of sailing with Cluffy, Byron, Hugh and later Ian and Gert. Felt like longer than 10kms sailing but maybe because it was pretty bumpy. Got there around 1:30 and rigged up before a storm hit and killed the wind. Filled back in so went out on 7.6 but overpowered so dropped back to 7.0. That felt great until that dreaded cracking sound and my old X9 boom developed a bad shape. Boom arm was cracked - an easy fix so should be right for next weekend.
Andrew Haigh (50322km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU FF79 and Maui TR9 6.6m A bit of everything today, very heavy rain, wind squalls, periods of no wind, a rumble of thunder, sunshine, and a little bit of wind
Murray Towndrow (8653km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Wind / rain / no wind / repeat Isonic 97, Delta 20, 7.1 Vapor

Byron Mcilveen (64447km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU 7.6 tr9 and 6.6 tr9 , RS2 and modified Mark Pederson v max 33 and 31. Camping this weekend got home at lunch made decition to go to marmong after people telling me no wind at budgi and it had east in it. Sailed with 7.6 with rs2 most of the time had some unreal drag races with Hue and yes he had a beter top speed than me to start with. Sorry mate when you went to work I got some faster runs with the 6.6 with the RS2. I tried the pederson but not much volume managed 34.7 same speed as I did with the 7.6. top speed was with the RS2 and 6.6. It is unreal to have gear that you can put the foot down in very rough conditions there is no flat water at all and to do a nautical like that in chop I was happy. fun sail with the captin James and Cluffy and Ian also turned up and then some others and some Kites.
Hugh (11029km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU another fun arvo out in the big swell 7.8 loft racing blade /ca slalom 66 |
