Nice session. Typical westerly all over the shop but when it was right it was awesome, smooth as butter. Went home stuffed and happy! Although I'll have to find a better shallow water fin for the JP 65. The big 24 delta is great for crusing but no top end.

Primbee, NSW, AU W to WSW up to 24 knots or so.

Yaaah - back sailing at Primbee in a westerly!Cool It seems like ages since I've sailed here, and certainly the first time on the 80 & 90 since LG.

I thought would be first there, at before 8 am but there was already a crowd in attendance - everyone wants the westerlies. Unfortunately the wind had backed right off , but that gave me time to rig up the 7m and fiddle about with a bit of sail tuning. Half an hour later, Stu went out and seemed to be getting some good speed down the Windang end, so I followed and found some good gusts. I went for a couple of NM's, but held off on reaches into the shallows as I was running a 28cm in the 90. I decided to change down as the wind was increasing, but probably missed the best patch as I was rigging.

I had a couple of nice runs and tried a few alphas on the 80 but eventually had to walk back home as the wind dropped again. Switched back to the 90/7 combo and had another fun half hour. I was all packed up and away by midday - a great start to the season. Top speed on the 90/7 combo!

Great to catch up with Stu, Nudist, Matt, Terry, Phil, Keef, Craig, Rob ....etc etc - a top bunch of guysSmile.

Primbee, NSW, AU    A big rollup today, heaps of pensioners on the water, you had to be ready for when the gusts

came through, there was a lot of drifting so it was hard getting down to Windang in the SW

even harder when it went SSW.      Tabou 95l Rocket   NP 5.8 Evo

Primbee, NSW, AU  Well what can I say, straight from the box SEVERNE 5.6 OD R6, change the cams to RD and a little fine tune, Tabou Speedster with that MXR special and 1 LaughingNUDIST.  Cams rotate sensational Wink.  Thats right straight from the box and bang bang 1st run 35.45.  But it was the wrong size sail for todays conditions should have gone 7OD R6 next time, I was walking standing and then speeding at times.  It was good to see the usual crowd at our local spot.  Mudcrab,Tex when I left I went for coffee and cake alone Frown no wedges NO Tex and Mudcrab. BRING ON WINTER Tongue out GO TEAM SEVERNECool

Nudist I'm impressed with your speed, good that you didn't rig the 7m and blitz the field. We need to organise another talk crap session over coffee soon and discuss secret speed tactics.
