3497 days ago Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU.....Glorious sunny day on dam but wind meters only showing 7/8 knots. Had a few questions for myself so rigged 6.6 and went out to give it a try. One solitary gust came for me, but am reasonably happy with my effort. LG....Lifes Good!!! /

Late decision to go to beach for a sail. Hoppy Bob came out for a drive after having a troublesome month
with an operation on his heart and then on his nose. (this guy is a real battler and LEGEND)
Never complains....
Wind was good out side but wind line was out from the beach a little. Water was rough but you got to
take it when you can get it.
Kel started as I finished.

Rough as guts and windier than I expected, rig was nice but the water state made it too sketchy to go fast off the wind.
Used Isonic 90, Viper 36 and Overdrive 7.0

3497 days ago 2 categories Port Douglas, QLD, AU Managed a late afternoon sail,Was forced to work till 2.30..then went home feeling rather shabby had no lunch and was still recovering from a long and hard 12hr dirt bike session on sunday, left in the dark and got home in the dark... rigged 7.3m north rig on 117 Isonic with 40cm sting fin..was having a great blast in a nice stiff breeze and a choppy sea..Was a bit flat footed and a bit lazy with my gybes but feeling ok..Andrew came out for blast when he got let out of school..The big fella is getting stronger and sailing better every session, and it is good to see someone so passionate about sailing..At half time i was thinking about jumping on small Isonic as there was plenty of wind and it was getting very choppy and some big rolling waves out the back..Came honking back to the beach from out wide and had a 'harness line blow out'..,could not F--king believe it..As it was a new Chinook line that was only done about 500km..How hard can it be to make a harness line that won't break..I remember whinging about this very same issue not so long ago..Went back home in search of a spare one but came back to the beach empty handed..made a bodgy one out of an old down haul rope by this time changing boards was way to much effort..Had to go back out a bit over powered and 'hall ass' till sundown just to do a few km.. Don't like rigging up for less than 70km..Big Isonic handled it well but i ran out of fuel at sundown..Cheers Ed ..

Desperation sail after a fortnight of no wind. At least the water was crystal clear from it being so still here.
