SO CLOSE! Short sail but got more than I expected today. 2 PB's, a broken harness line and bent boom. All worth it in the quest for 40!
Big Congrats to MT on another 2sec lake record!

I expected a Westerly but not that strong. I had the 6.4 rigged and was about to hit the water when the wind picked up 15knots. It was all white spray. There was a mad rush for smaller sails, I quickly rigged the 5.8 and went out. I struggled for the first few runs but the wind then slightly backed of just enough to make the bare away a lot easier. The 5.8 didn't feel good across the wind but bearing away it was on the money.
I really wanted to go back out after lunch and have a go at a few nautical miles but the wind totally backed of and was now below 5kts.

3454 days ago 2 categories PRIMBEE of course, Well the unexpected Westerly came through about 8.30 and lasted till early arvo, plenty of sailors on the water
but sail selection was vital, 33kts on the permanent wind meter, but bigger gusts along the NM run. Rigged a 5.8 but went to a 4.7
wave sail as the wind just kept getting stronger, I was in control, sort of. Love those spray on tans on Nudist and Tex, to bad that
they never got wet. Tabou 76l 3S Loft 4.7 wave maybe tomorrow!

A disappointing day for me - my mind was not on the job so I got the sail setup wrong and therefore struggled with the sailing. The combo choice was right but I found it hard work. An opportunity lost - oh well. Great to see Stu & Mark doing well.
The weed may be coming back - certainly some good signs.
