Quick post before the kids get home. Nice day, although chilly. Good turn out Cool Super shallow. Thought we may have got a little more breeze but still had fun. Even looks like i may have jagged an alpha! Not sure how with all that fin grinding??? Looking forward to tomorrowCool

101 futura 7m RS sail, 22cm vector

Tried to get set for a nautical mile but mast broke and sail ripped while standing at Windang.

Did the nautical on foot but pretty slow

Big thanks to Stu for towing my gear back and to others that stopped to offer assistance, ashame the sail also was damaged.

Ill be looking for some warranty on mask as only the second time used and has sufferred no traumaic crashes etc

Primbee, NSW, AU WNW to WSW up to 30 knots in a few gusts. Generally patchy and less than forecast.

Well the coldest day on record(!) never really happened - not very cold, not very windy, but still a lot of fun. My first sail for over a month so it was all good.

Started with the iS90 and the 7m and had some good squirts on the flat water. Hard to get to the really flat water because it was quite shallow. As it was the fin was a bit small for the board/sail combo so it was gentle/gentle on the feet and trim.

Had a long "meeting break" before and during lunch but got back out and was met with the best wind of the day. After a while I decided to go in and change to the speed board, but only got a couple of underpowered runs - I'd forgotten how teasing a gusty westerly can be.

A great bunch of sailors again - maybe the same or better tomorrow?

Well done to MT for getting the Big Kahunas Award for his recent heroicsLaughing

Arrived at 10 to a totally full car park. Waited two hours before hitting the water hoping the wind would pick up and become a bit more consistant but even then it was a bit of a lottery on the right sail size. Rigged the 6.4 which ended up pretty good for the afternoon sail, a good size for the gusts. Tried a bit more downhaul today trying to get a bit more speed and it seemed to work well.
