Primbee, NSW, AU   Well that wore me out, arvo NE to N up to 20kt gusts, low tide and choppy in the middle.

Primbee, NSW, AU

Went to Primbee to try some NE speed runs. Plenty of breeze but its so gusty up that end of the lake in a NE. Hard work trying to get up wind with a 21cm speed weedy. Maybe slalom gear from Kanahooka would have been a better option. Still not a bad arvo and chance of a sail tomorrow Wink

Too late. NE 10-15kts at best. On the water by about 4:30pm and the wind was dropping fast, as was the water level. Went with the 7.0 and a small 18cm 50deg weed fin on Chester hoping to get a few runs in the shallow water but the gusts were few and far between. Was impressed how the 18cm weed fin performed with the 7.0 sail. I'll have to try this combo again with more wind.

I think next time if its under 25kts Kanahooka is the place to sail.

Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU. SB 112L Kode, 6.6m Loft Oxy, BP 32cm (vert depth) WS.

First time this season in the springsuit and the water temp was great. On the water around 3pm with free ride gear and big fin. Primbee was very shallow so decided to keep clear in order to keep this boom in one piece. NE-ster was light-medium strength and relatively consistent in the middle to the northern end but less so over the western kanahooka side and further south. First time Ive comboed this board and fin and was quite impressed with how it went in the chop. Stoked the NE-sters are back.Laughing

Thanks guys. Bummer you missed it Mark. Yeah I agree its gotta be honking for speed runs in a NE at Primbee, otherwise Kanahooka is the go.
