Lucky last day in Geelong tomorrow Inverloch.
Forecast was crap but went to morning markets at Queenscliff only to find wind on the bay so dropped wife off and went sailing.
Light to start with but just got better pitty no locals were out to show me where the banks and shallow no go spots are.
Later in the session I got thr guts to head up high to the speed area but started hitting the bottom as tide dropped so called it a day.

Then kicked back and relaxed, had lunch and waited for the bank to come back... wind got stronger rigged down and had some awesome runs down the bank. Wello always seems to get jelous of Burrum taking my PB's and demands I improve here... very stoked!
Great to see so many guys out on the water! Today was that NE'erly we've all been waiting for :)

Great late arvo sail with some good crew. Rolly and Chriso looks like they had new smiles painted on and also made a good day of sailing.
Nice to see Shannon flying along on his big gear and making the trip to wello. Rob was flying on the big 7M and big JP too.
*Saw a collision with a sailor and a kiter in which the kiter copped one in the back.......hmmmmm not good. I'm pretty sure this time it wasn't the kiters fault  .
Had a great sail and only had big gear packed in car so went for a quick look knowing that i'd be overpowered and risking life and limb 
Thinking if smaller gear was on hand a 39 would be on the smile dial, but i now know what a lightweight can do on a 68 wide 112L board ....lol

Had to battle out through the chop and then sail square on the wind to get to the bar and then sharp turn into the flatter water. In the end I was totally stuffed and did not make the turn and sailed straight into the reef boom! crash! I did not make many gybes either. This is the day I should have tryed my *#sspeedboard#* . Well nobody is perfect!

So after a frustrating 5 hours standing around on Sat waiting for wind - I was not supposed to sail Sunday. Spent the morning with the better half before flying out to Townsville for work at 1.30. Got to the airport to find out my flight had been cancelled and I was put on an 8pm flight. So rushed home - threw the gear in the car and was on the water by 3. Off the water and packed up by 6 - home to drop the gear off - than back to the airport.
Just got home from a day in Townsville and got to download my sail from yesterday - And look what happend - my first 30 knotter - was meant to be!!!
95l Ray, 6.4 NP jet - not bad speed for board and sail combo 6 and 7 yrs young!
