Gusty and rough. Couldn't get comfortable and had other things to do today so cut the session short.
Was hoping to go to the island tomorrow but couldn't get a ticket for the boat so will have to make a better effort at the beach.

Long time between posts. Great to get wind, tide and weekend to align finally. 4 sailors out. A bit up and down and choppy at the beginning, so tried out the new second hand Fanatic FSW 113, BP R35, Ezzy Lion 6.5 with brand new Severne carbon boom. Impressive combination for fun chop sailing. Heaps of control, easy on the knees, jumps well, gybes well, light and chuckable. Refrashing just to sail for the fun of it and not worry about top speeds. Was hoping for a good alpha after some really nice planing gybes, but not sure what went wrong with the data.

3132 days ago Port Douglas, QLD, AU Went down the beach at about 230 with my 'wing man 'Andrew ,he came over to spend some time in my man cave fixing some of his gear getting ready for his come back in a months time..Wind was gettting fresh and the forecast was for a big session..Hit the water fully powered up on burnt out 6.6m north rig cranked down hard, 97 Isonic ,36 sting fin..Didnt take long for the wind to pick up to over 20kts and got realy cranking a few km off shore...Went as hard as i could for a couple hrs in a choppy sea with no pit stop. As Mum said i had to be home by dark..Has running out of fuel anyway..Was a big kids session and great fun.Isonic felt great and never put a foot wrong all arvo..Luv this board as it is a great 'all rounder'..Think my GPS is nealy rooted as my Alpha's didn't show up..Does anyone have any idear why,as i am a dum ass when it comes to things like this...Cheers Ed

Bit late in posting. Great day on the lake with Hans, (Cracked out another year - H'Bday Hans) Herby, Fred (No this isnt in order of age or mental capacity Freddo) Mark (Ed's bro) and the two new lads who are going great guns - Johnny and Ben.
Very typical Tinaroo weather...I think Herb measured at one stage 0 - 25 knts. It was quite brutal at stages and with big gear really tested out the arms at times. Plenty of time spent in the water waiting for the next gust/bullet to come past and never really got any long runs in and the ones you did managed to pick up were short lived. My eldest (Conner) even came in with a huge smile on his dial. Rigged up a 4.6 Wave sail on HB's old 129 Screamer and he had an absolutly cracking time out on the water. At one stage, after being taken by a bullet down wind and after hanging on for as long as he could, he proudly displayed his very first "Forward Exit". A very proud moment. He is now keen to continue his journey in the sport.
The two new lads, are keen as. Its really great to see them just giving it a go...and returning at every opportunity. It became a bit of a swap meet late in the arvo, older wares placed out for the new boys to pick over. Great day out with Family and Friends - Thank you to all and sundry.
