Mick Saunders (12214km): Teralba, NSW, AU NW 3-30 knts. Went out with the mistral screamer but i required a bigger sail than the maui tr7 5.5 m. so i swapped boards to the light weight rs2 instead of a sail change. So gusty, had a big back slam....and said to my alta ego..stuff this, home james but my names mick....It was a big back slam.!
Bruce Healey (24403km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Wind, at last. NW-W, about 20-25, a bit gusty but pretty good for a westerly, water pretty flattish. Lots of weed clumps which were a bit scary as I thought it best to avoid them & that is not so easy at 30 knots with double vision. Is so shallow that I was hitting bottom even if I planed through the gybes if I went too far. Lots of walking as a result. MICK, tibor, Wayno, Johnny, Matt D, Andrew, Sue, old Pete, Mike etc. I f I forgot to mention you its because you are so special. Very nice arvo, sunny, warmish, we won't see better than this for a while. CASL SP44, 5.5, 17 fin. Did anyone else notice marks on front edge of fin, maybe the weed is getting tough.
Andrew Haigh (50695km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU FF79 and 6.6m then Speed board with 6.6m and finally speed board with 5.5m Took the gamble on the drive down to budgy, and for once it paid off! First few hours pretty light, but fun doing 33-34 in the flat water. After lunch it was more of the same until around 2 ish when things started to pick up. Got the speed board out, but by this stage I was struggling to hang on to the 6.6. I was sure it would drop off if I went in to change down. Finally gave in and changed down to 5.5m. The wind kept blowing. Didn't come in until 4.45pm. Epic day
sboardcrazy (25351km): 10-c 30kts NW - WNW Peel st Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU 6m OD + 79 falcon + 20cm delta then 6mOD + 50 ltre isonic + 20 deltas then 5m OD + 50ltre + 17cm delta yee frikkin haa!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finally wind + flatwater. Started early as predicted to peak 11-1pm so by the time it really came in and time for the speedboard I'd been out 2.15hrs..and was pretty Knackered...31.85kts on the falcon 1st run then couldn't beat it. Kicked in 25kts + in the gusts so out with the speedboard. Good once I had extricated myself from the big weedmats close in .. They blew into shore later 6m + speedboard was very overpowered ( I can handle c 23kts with the 6m it must have been gusting closer to 30kts ).. one bearaway in 4-6" chop I thought this is getting a bit dangerous so silly me eased off a bit to bring things back under control- bad move Big catapult- lost my watch and glasses came off even though had a helmet on + mud on my face. I didn't think to check and did the shopping in Coles after with mud all over my face and dog poop smelling on my shoes.. Boy wonder what people thought of me.. Pretty windy - I was walking the 50ltre up into the wind and a gust caught it and it did a 360 nose into the air and ended up facing the other way.. Didn't try and gybe the speedboard as too buggered and overpowered and too shallow at the top end. Alpha was on the 79. Put the 5m on and back out even though shaking at times as so tired..couldn't waste that wind.. really enjoyed it though! Sailed 4.30hrs zzzzzzzzzzzz Many out having a ball unless you were a lightweight and didn't have a 5m sail...( Wayne + pete) Andrew , Milsy , Mick , Mat , Pete , Micheal ,Nathan , Macca, Royce (?) Wayne , Bruce , + others. Ideal conditions - should have got as pb but anyway..fun as..

Tibor (18244km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU What a pleasant surprise getting this great wind amog the windless days. Felt faster as usual but this is all l could do with my 63cm wide isonic and 5.6 OD Severne sail. I have noticed that l could keep up with the other guys untill the real top end when they pulled away with their skinny boards. Great fun though. Enjoyed it immensely. Thanks to who ever organized it! Lets hope for another one tomorrow.

Byron Mcilveen (64786km): Teralba, NSW, AU maui TR11 7.7 , exocet RS4, v max 39, maui TR11 6.6, exocet RS2, v max 33. dropped kids at school and started sailing at 9 30 as wind in at Marmong but supper gusty with moments of "nothingness" but still sailing and getting good speeds on the big gear in chop. went down to 6.6 for a late 1/2 sail and clocked the tops speeds but it wasn’t until packing up it picked up again had to go to work 1.15 off water. Great drag racing walshy again he needs a GPS he was smoking. Great day and heaps out felt so quick in 2 foot chop.
