Primbee, NSW, AU W to WSW. Very patchy for a start but a bit stronger towards the end.

A morning sail with Stu - a lot of standing around for a start with the ocassional good gust. Almost impossible to sail down to the Windang end of the strip due to lack of wind down there. I started with the Tribal fin but found it was a pain getting it to release weed at startup. It feel quite nice when powered up but quite loose at lower speeds. Switched over the the trusty MxR and this felt more versatile in the patchy wind and the weedy conditions.

Great to meet the "new guy",....Mike I think his name is!!!Wink

I hope the afternoon crew get some better wind.Cool

went for a sail!

was welcomed by the Capt'n, he commented my wetsuit must have shrunk,......... think it might have

first time in a long time and it was scary and awesome - hovered around the 33-34 for most of day, which felt quicker through the chop but snagged something quicker on the last run - as the confidence grew so did the fatigue

followed Terry for a Nm - damn he was quick, i barely made a dent into the lead he had on me and i was nudging 32kn for the run

debut for the (old) i80 and new 6.7 Hellcat

would have been quicker on a alpha by chucking the sail in the water and beach starting

last time i saw Detlev was probably about 25 years ago

Lunchtime sail. Lots of water so a very choppy Primbee. Nice long runs though and well powered up.

Primbee, NSW, AU     I am getting old and cold. The SW picked up through the day making it a bit choppy but smooth in the middle.

Primbee, NSW, AU. AB Slalom 54 78L, SW 6.2m NX, Bp23WS.

Most of the wind was towards the windang end with fairly light conditions between 3-4pm but also relatively consistent. Could have used bigger gear in hindsight but too hard getting back to primbee to re-rig. It picked up again after 4pm thankfully. Not sure how tomorrow's forecast will pan out but will start work very early just in case. Nice PB Jetlag, and great to see Mike getting out there againLaughing.

Bushfire I've found the tribals catch seagrass unless you are going. Not much good for stop start /off plane type sailing we do over here. Great out in weedfree deeper stuff.

Laughing Nudist I used to be a postie with a hilly coastal run and could see the beach I sailed at as I went. In the good old days we used to knock off when we finished so there were some smoking deliveries when the electrical wires started humming..Laughing

Thanks one and all! Not sure I can claim being 'back' just yet - going to be time poor for a bit yet, but will take my chances when I can Everyone seemed to be going really quick!!! 30+ Nm is sweet - I went as far south as I could possibly go without checking into a cabin - meant I didn't have to go past the primbee jetty to get the distance in How good is windsurfing!!!

Great speeds guys especially the Nautical miles.

Looks like like there is no one sailing at 20 knots with me anymore.

Will have to get more time off work and practice.

Is Mike that tall kid that sailed in the early 90's, I'm sure he will crack some PB's and hot speeds?
