Duxbury Bay. Hawk 125, NS 7.2. The Canmore is not working properly; the wristwatch GPS showed 80 km distance. Data posted are from a GW-52 I borrowed from Peter. First time on a short board since .. it's been a while.

Duxbury Bay - first NE day of the fall, right on the Labor Day weekend. Quite a crowd out there, including Dani & Sabah, Gonzalo, Drew, Henrikas, Nina (even on slalom gear for a little while), Alena, Jerry, many more. Finally had good conditions to give Alena the jibe lesson I owed her since last year. Fun, she made some nice progress. Rigged the Matrix 7.0 since jibing cambered sails is not my thing, and the TR 7 would have been a bit small, anyway. Switched to the Warp 71 after the lesson to do an hour with Gonzalo. Never got dialed in on the slalom board, but I probably just should have rigged bigger. Meter showed averages around 19 mph, gusts to 23, and it reads at least a couple of mph high. Great day, nice to see crowds on the water and to get a decent hour in for the month.

Congrats to Gonzalo to the PBs!

First session of the year at Nini!! Even though it was very gusty NE 10-20, the  gear felt good and dialed in! Good to see lots of windsurfers on the water.

board: iSonic 94

sail: MS TR9 6.3

fin: tectonic GoldWing 34

Al, the seals are 30 km east of where the ECWF takes place. I have yet to see a seal at Kalmus, and I sail there often enough Smile

Roo, the "new boy Gonzalo" was on the spanish olympic team about the same time that you were a pro. When he can come to the ECWF, he smokes everyone on a longboard. We made him go around again once last year, and I think he placed 1st and 7th in the same race. He just travels the world too much to spend much time on shortboards.
