I was not too inspired to go out again on Sunday, felling a bit tired, but one view if Mat and John going down the speed bank changed my mind.
I also decided it would be a good oppurtunity to try out the new (for me) JP Slalom 54 (70L) I aquired. First sail on it. :-)
I was very much powered up on the 5.8m Koncept, but not on the speed run as it was so broad. All the best speeds were just after the turn in (slingshot?). Hanging on further was no use as it quickly got too broad and the speed just bled off. Good fun to try the new board which felt very well behaved and gybes nicely. I thought it was pretty good speed for a 30cm fin as well.
Sail: KA Koncept 2016 5.8m, Board: JP Slalom54 Pro Edition, Fin: KA Salom 30cm.
