Sailed with Cookie and Barry today wind was very broad and swung around more and more so it meant walking back after each run.

The channel is too narrow to do any sort of a gybe so it was just good for speed runs but wind was a bit light for the gear we took out.

Not a easy place to sail as I thought before coming here as its a 800m walk out just to start sailing I realy give it too these guys sailing here with the cold they are a different breed, wind was cold today we had full wetsuits on and with a lot of standing around waiting for the wind it was cold.

Once out its too far to walk back so unless your keen your stuck with what you take out.

One highlight for this Qld er was seeing 4 penguins on the beach and swimming with us.

Been told tomorrow will be a 50/50 chance it will be better with ene winds and warmer. and

Rigged in hope that the wind would come in. In the end I was comfortable on the 7.1 but never lit up on the bear aways. All in all a nice after work sail.

What a great day - on the water just after 4 - off the water just before 7.

Only thing that would have made it better is day light saving!!

Ohh - and a 20 knot Alpha to boot!!

Wellington Point, QLD, AU, Falcon 104, Loft 6.3 and a Viper fin 34cm. There was not enough wind for me to start with, but it came in stronger and I got buggered very quickly hitting the chop on the way out, especially since I had my harness lines too long or the boom too low and was always coming out of them. I bet Trevor beat me today!

Wello Point. 144l Starb Carve, 7.7m (remember rigging down to 6.7 as well), 43cm fin. Switched GPS off and on a couple of times between changing sails so do not have "hour".

Yep - was starting to think this alpha caper was just not my go.

Looked at my track and it wasn't one of the gybes that I though was my better ones.

Got a feeling its the 50 metre gap that I get wrong most of the time!!!

Nice afternoon team numbers everyone!!
