Ant-man (13419km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. Naish GP 7.0 Carbon Art 96 Delta. Fun sail. Wind didn't really kick in for any real speed but good enough. Heaps and heaps out. So good to see the young ones out.
Bruce Healey (24292km): Terrigal, NSW, AU Stuck at work so went out here figuring it would save time compared to going to budgie. Well that was wrong, was much stronger than it looked. We nt upwind & then a hairy run back & that was it.. Nice to be out there again & always good to get wet. RS3, 7m, 32 weedie.
Lyds (10267km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU RS2, 7.0 R7, 30BPWS - nice cruisy sail, tried for a NM but lost the gust halfway down for just a bit, still was a hoot.
Greg Kiskarpati (20777km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Warp 7.0 and 7.7 / Rs4 / kestrel 22 Very happy with the hour and alpha , not happy with another broken mast and a 1.5 km walk in the weed and mud . Sorry if i wasnt in a talkative mood today . But after them results and a few beers i will get over it , Was graet to see Larko again .
Cluffy (4190km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Isonic 97 delta 21 Overdrive 8.6 Nice afternoon but not as windy as hoped. I got jack of being underdone with the 7.0 so I put the 8.6 on. That worked for the most part but I still could have used more grunt offwind lol.
Steve Walsh (4027km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - North Warp 7m, Isonic 80, MRX 22 SW.
Byron Mcilveen (64411km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU maui TR11 6.6, exocet RS2, BP kestral 18 unfortunatly just no wind in the flat water was a bit dissapointing way under done , it looked windy but nothing . still nice arvo with heaps out prety cruisy although i think it was hard work being underdone.
sboardcrazy (25098km): 15-23kts ENE Peel st Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU 79 falcon - 6m OD - 19cm delta then 89ltre falcon 6m )D - 19 delta Well that was a pleasant surprise. I thought I'd only done 30.9kts.. I can hardly wait to get my 6.6m Koncept as lately the 7m has been too big and the 6m a bit small. Couldn't find any flatwater at first and by the time I did the wind had turned gusty. I wasn't planning on doing distance but when I came in I'd done a decent amount so aimed for 80kms.. bummer got lost in the translation somewhere.. Still a PB Did some good gybes so a bit disappointed with the alpha but it does include a bearaway and work back up . I want to analyse my data and see how much speed I'm losing from entrance to exit on the better ones as they feel good. I've still got to learn how to convert that to a decent aplha. Hard today as very patchy at times.. I started out concentrating on keeping my front arm straight and it worked well until I got tired.. 1 day I'll score a nm without a gybe in it.. The wind kicked in after I'd got the larger board but there were large dead areas so you needed it. If I got the 2 sec on the 89 that's a board PB. Heaps out - Pugs said he counted 25! Pugs, Milsy , Mick , Matt , the youngens, Michael x 2, Andrew, Byron, Steve x 2, Alwyn, Greg + other assorted bods..I can see why you guys are such good gybers- doing that type of distance you certainly get plenty of practise! b tired now.ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...
GeoffS (8069km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU iSonic 125 Sailworks XT2 7.4 Pleasant afternoon sail with Glenn. A little patchy at times but better then mowing the lawn.
Andrew Haigh (50238km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Mistral Speed 95, TRX 6.3 Woefully underdone - At least the new board floated better than the FF79, I was able to sail nearly all the way back to the carpark.
Hugh (11029km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU |
