Coal Point, NSW, AU. 120 monster 7.5 Ezzy then 110 Naish 6.6 Hucker then 90 Naish 5.6 Hucker. Great arvo of sailing with my mate Andy and a few younguns starting out in their sailing careers. Finished off being a fun bump and jump session. Felt like I was doing 35 knots in that chop, speed is such a relative thing

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

SE 8-12 knts and perfect conditions to try out sailing with a wrist support. Fell in on first tack and jibe and climbing back on board a bit ordinary and may have have caused some board damage. No biggy. Hopfully back into regular sailing now.

Falcon 113 KAR 7.9 Select 43 / JP 82 KAR 6.3 Select 32cm

Nice southerly that steadily built all afternoon. Had an hour on the big gear then jumped to the little gear. Super choppy as usual and happy to get my home turf PB. Quite a few out, Lyds, Paddo, Andrew, Nigel, Mick, Russ and more. Got a bit crazy at the end and was hopelessly overpowered on the 6.3, as was everybody else, as it gusted over 30kts. Good fun.

Isonic 97 R6 7.8 delta 21

A fun session! Nice long flat sections and some nice gybes to be had. Watching Frothie hoon down the course is bloody gold that guy's my new sailing hero. I found myself lined up with him on one run and I only just held him. It might take a while but I reckon Frothie could break 40 knots one day. i just hope I'm there when it blows hard enough.

I heard Sue drop a couple expletives during a gybe so that's a couple of bucks in the swear jar for Sue. Walshie was going beyond full monty in his  laydown gybes. One time he pulled up so hard on the boom I thought he was going to do a barrel roll.

had a nice conversation with Wayno and milsy while waiting for the wind to kick in. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon.

Nice speed Bruce you have it dialed in mate.

1st use of the 5.1 & enigma, was great kinda like a wave sail so easy to through around, short boom

& all the goodies that reflex's have. not as gd for mick, the others got out, 6- 8 guys, mick geoff tony lyds

15-24kts S Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

 6m OD - 79ltre Falcon - 19 delta

44 degrees at home so lovely to get to Buff and more like 30 . Fun sail. I must be getting fussy. I would have killed for 34.17 on the GPS a year ago but I just wanted to get 35 kts today. Smile

Scored one good gust in the flats for the 34 but couldn't time it for another strong one. Bugger - my best gybes were too wide for the alpha. I had one good stack where I threw the sail ( rig flip) but hooked in as I threw so threw myself into the sail..owe.. rig got my shin..

Had the speed board out but not quite consistent enough and I didn't want to waste wind going in to get it. At the finish I was walking the gear downwind to get a good angle to come back across the channel on stingray lookout and saw a subtle shape ahead of me ..well camoflagued. Mm got on the board and went as I didn't want to tread on any.

Mick, Mat , Milsy , Wayne , Royce, Steve W , Cluffy youngsters , Bruce , Frothie..I think that's all? Lovely way to end a shitty heatwave week ( record breaking 47 degrees  up home yesterday..Frown ).Had the van packed for a fire evacuation again so if one did break out I didn't have to go back home.

20+degrees cooler now..Smile

Stirred my ankle back up but it was worth it. The specialist said it's healed really well ( bone wise)  but I have probably torn some scar tissue. It was pretty good prior to sailing..Oh well.Undecided

I've started following the guys lines and my speeds are improving as a result.. Think I better hitch a ride behind Bruce! Wink

Well Tony ditched me for Andy, left me without a wave sail (which I needed) oh well your loss was perfect forward loop conditions, but now you have missed the free lesson (get them off Andy). Forgot to turn off the GPS and did 39.90 on the drive home, didn't seem that fast but it's a PB :) Half a dozen out at Valentine. Andy you could have done with that 7.0 !!!!!!

Cluffy was that the one I hooked in mid rig flip? or it could have been one of the faster wide ones that was a bit hairy at the entry..Smile

Great session there everyone. Cluffy Bruce and sue all smoking really close to your PBs, and sounds like lake Mac went off as well. I'd better get organised and replace that 430 asap.

I'd still be happy with a 34. I am not expecting another 35 any time soon.

Actually at the moment I'd be happy with just going sailing. We have had either no wind or else it has been really gusty strong wind, which is not good for a first return to sailing after injury. The leg is just about up to it now but I don't want to load it up too much.
