Sailquik (29582km): Sandy Point. Easterly - 20-25, with the odd brief gust to 30. I went down early to try to catch the first exposure of the East bank so I could run the old course which is now getting too shallow. It worked well. The last couple of runs I felt the fin touch so I called it a day, not wanting to push my luck. It was those last couple of runs where I saw peaks speeds of a mic hair over 40Kts. I should have gone with the 5.4m sail in hindsight. At the best angle I was underlowered. Also nice to feel the love with the old 20cm KA assy. Took it just on a whim, and it was very nice going upwind accross the channel. Also felt the board trying to climb out of the water on one tight run with a 40 kt peak, so it reminded me why I usually go for the smaller Tribal assy's now. Carbon Art 40, KA Koncept 5.0m, KA assy 20cm.

kato (37642km): Area 45, Mahers Landing, VIC, AU A nice play after the IWC Women On Water day. Most of the great speeds came when the wind was up and the bars were still under water. When the banks came out the wind had backed off . Typical Still , had a ball on the 6.6 maxed out bouncing over the chop. A great way to end the weekend Sl 53, Koncept 6.6, MXR 24
Bradman (3365km): Sandy Point Vic AU. 25kts Easterly at the Inlet. Arrived late at 4.30pm ready for a quick session on the lowish outgoing tide. Sailquik was already running along the eastern bank looking fast. Rigged quickly and headed out into the chop. Made my way over to the east bank and cranked out a few runs in less than an hour. A nice session, was interesting dodging the sandy lumps at the start of the run, and the half metre chop on the SW bank (witnessed a huge jump from someone on a CA40!) Isonic W54, ReflexR4 6.2m, Techart WSL22cm weed fin.
