Area 45 at its best... blue skies, Easterly and low tide - happy days.
Good bunch of crew out too.

ENE in the morning, light and patchy saw us on 7.0 Reflex II and 136 Supersport / 100 Atomiq.

2pm the wind switched to ESE and jumped up to 20kts, rigged 5.7 Saber on the Atomiq with Zulu 32, very choppy and bouncing. A lot of the Inverloch locals arrived to sail the banks at low tide. Borrowed a 30 BP slalom fin and switched to 84 JP Slalom II - much more controlled in the chop, my top speed of the day on the JP 84. Now I know what I need to buy, thanks for the lend!

Glad you liked the fin Colin, Sorry i did not stop for a chat. I think you could possibly go a little smaller with that rig set up. Just so you are aware that fin Was an RS (more suited to downwind slalom) I sail the Isonic 86 with a 23 Tribal  speed and 5.6 Reflex similar rig set up to yours. You are a little bit taller than me. You could possibly get away with a 26 as long as you have the wind we had yesterday. It is worth trying to borrow a couple of different fins if you can and try them out.

Thanks again Andrew, I was thinking to try a little smaller because it was still quite bouncy in that wind. However I'll probably look around the 28cm range to help me get going until I get comfortable with the smaller board - 84 is a big step down for me at 94kg. I need to learn how to get my big feet on a very small tail first.

Great speeds by the way, sorry I didn't stick around long enough for the flatter water.
