Great sail at Green with Bindi, Cam, Andrew, Ed, James and Ian.

Wind was a bit light through the middle of the day, but nice for the last hr and first thing this morning.

Used Isonic 107(until i smacked the reef and destroyed another finFrown) then Toody's Isonic 97 from 2012 and Overdrive 7.0

Green Island, QLD, AU

First real sail for the year, so blisters on the hands.  Had a great day on the island with the crew.  Really nice runs early on with just enough wind - very little in the middle some nice final runs.  Still far from condition but this week looks really nice.... great to be on holidays.

The GI report..Fell asleep on the boat going over, totaly burnt out from work..Got to rigging area  on the island and Cam and Kel had just come in from a good morning blast and told us all that the wind had just started to drop out, and Kel had to find another board to destroy as i don't think his one has a fin box any more..Yell Me Andrew and the two mountain men Ian and James all rigged the biggest gear we had in hope for a blast on a dieing southeast breeze..All was not lost and we all had a reasonable session on fully pumped rigs..97 isonic was going ok on burnt out 7.3m North rig and 38 venom fin.. Had a pit stop for lunch ..'coffee and a big sugar hit' which gave me a bit of enthusiasm for the afternoon shift..Wind swung right around to the south and i soon found myself out the back of the drag strip with a cranked down rig having a great blast with the Doc..Haven't spent a lot of time playing on the drag strip at Gi as i usually find playing out wide in the chop a bit more entertaining..But i have to say doing 3km long blasts in nice flat water with plenty of power on tap was really great fun and a easy way to clock up a few kms...If i wasn't so shagged i would of changed to a smaller fin and put some effort in to trying to go fast..Was a great opportunity going to waste.Cam vanished off the scene after awhile, think he went for a well earnt power nap after breaking every record he possibily could.'.which is what Cam does best'..Water started to get a bit swallow on the GI drag strip so i went back out to the big pool and had full on blast in some angary chop totally maxed out on big rig..Then i just totally ran out of fuel so it was game over for me..Got back just in time for happy hour and drank as much beer as i could and watched the sun go down in paradise...All in all a great day and great company..And an unexpected PB..Guess thats about as good as it gets for me..Cheers Ed..
