Started with smaller gear because the wind was 5-40mph when we came and of course it wasn't enough wind once we started to sail. Then later wind died down and I switched to a bigger gear and did some light wind sailing in the end. Hope we'll get at least one day of good wind at Washoe this year, so far one hour doesn't look possible at all, good NM is possible if the wind gust will be at least 1 mile wide which is also hard to get.

Gusty as it could possibly be, 4-38 according to the wind meter at the beach. I figured sailing upwind to the other side of the lake could work out for some flat water speed runs but getting there would not be easy...than wind shifted to S-SW and I was moving to the other side quite nicely. Once I turned wind shifted again to NW and bam, I was on the other side and ready to catch some big gusts. Wind basically stopped at that moment and it was one hour of swimming, waiting for something to happen. One hour later, gust came and it was time to sail back while wind is still there. Made two downwind runs, not enough to get all the way back and it was another 30 minutes of waiting for one more gust to take me back to the beach. After that, it was time to go home watch the movie....while Denis was still somewhere on the lake.....
