We waited all day for the tide to go out and the Wind to fill in and swing WSW. We were rewarded with a nice 15-25 knots of WSW for the last hour and a half of daylight.
I rigged the 5.4m on the theory that it is faster to rig for the gusts, but I needed to use the 70L Slalom board to get back up the course with the light wind. It was a good call because I think I got the best of it in the slightly stronger 25 knots gusts.
Hajime was on his CA40 and 5m and we swapped gear for the last run. It was OK for Hajime but I got stranded in the channel in a lull and Hajime had to come and rescue me by swapping gear again.
I just managed to make it back to the bank on a rapidly dying wind and but the time I got back to the car it was fully dark.
A great fun little session to finish the day!
