Best speeds ever on the landing craft.Laughing

The Delta XT 20 let go just the one time when I got into some choppy water.

Expensive !!!!

Started out with a morning downwind SUP with my wife from 45 to Inverloch. Got some stuff finished around home as the wind built and filled in and by 2pm it was time to go.

Rigged the 7.9 on the big board for some overpowered sailing until the wind picked up as the rest of the crew arrived. All good and changed down to the 6.6 and the small board. Still spinning out the MXR ,changed to the C3 30 for some chop bashing across the flats at high tide.

Great fun and started to do some Nm and chase a 1 hr, lit up on the 6.6 and having a ball. The S Busters had worn out their arms and called it a day so it was just me and the chop.

Just another 20 mins to go and some jets skis were approching at high speed along my line, not wanting to go head to head I moved off my line up wind and found a sand barYell, over the front, everythig stayed attached. No holes in sail, mast still there, board ok, boom.....Cry. Broken in two places ,so no sailing home. Jet skis gave me a glance and pissed off.

Incoming tide out going wind, lying on the board I go in the right direction, swiming I go in the wrong direction. So when the waves are big I swim to get through them and then paddle with the wind to gain the lost ground. A long trip to the shore, then its dodge the Sting Rays as I walk back to the car. I pushed the board fin first as that seams to move them better than me splashing. Next time i'm its F@# the Jet skis and I'm coming through.Yell......Anyone got a spare carbon boom ???
