Another great day in Paradise!
The skies cleared again and the sun shone. The wind kicked in a bit more than yesterday - 20-25 knots - and flat water was all around.
Fun sail on CA40 with 5.4m Koncept. Not fully lit for speed runs, but very much fun!
Lots of like minded wind addicts getting a fix as well.
Water dropped 10cm in the wind today and i was noticable up the top where it was a bit more restricted. There were some fully exposed weedbeds gathering foam today as well. One interesting feature was the 50m wide strip of classt flat weedbed, 3/4 of the way across the lake at just the right angle for a fast bearaway. Yippee! sped runs on both tacks!
Sailed for 2 hrs and then came in for a rest. went back out with a Lessacher Bull 40 degree 20cm fin tp try. It flew upwind like a rocket, but did not seem as fast off the wind this time as the smaller fin I had been using. I need to try a few more fins now I have plenty oftime and wind.
When we arrive the Tasie guys had been sailing for couple of hours. When I left, only Kaleb was still out, going like an energizer bunny!
CA40, Tribal 18cm, KA Koncept 5.4m.
