Pointman (25901km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Fun little fang around at Melville. The breeze was up and down, but I found a few nice puffs. Same combo as yesterday...M137 + 7.6 TR9 + 38 CL SL2. This set-up rocks in gusty conditions, will be a good combo for moderate westerlies this winter
Flatchat (9962km): Melville Beach, WA, AU A super gusty session with mostly light to moderate wind conditions. The combo didn't quite feel right today but being on the water....superb! Tried a few different settings but in the end probably should have just let out the downhaul. Great Pinna turn out, with Craig, Mark, Ken and Greg enjoying the warmish conditions before a late appearance by Anita and maybe Ben. SB i107, Evo9 7.0m, Tribal wsp 27 & 33.
Lunny (42007km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Had another great time on the 137/7.0 combo. Very gusty conditions but this combo was great for getting through the lulls. Highlight was seeing a dolphin jumping fully out of the water playing in the chop. Great day Mistral 137, Reflex8 7.0, Tribal ws 35

Woody-Mark (15814km): Melville Beach, WA, AU A much needed session with plenty of the Pina's. Nice to get out after a staring at gusts all weekend. JP 71 NPv8 7.2 wsp33
Kenny (16394km): Melville Beach, WA, AU A bit of a Pinna party at Melville. Tried to go for an hour but the wind was a bit too on/off today. 6.2 reflex, 97 futura, 34 falcon
Windxtasy (14044km): Melville Beach, WA, AU The omens could not have been worse if a black cat had smashed a mirror before walking under a ladder on Friday the 13th. 1. 1. I got out of work on time. Sailing conditions are generally inversely related to the amount of time I have to enjoy them. 2. 2. Everyone was packing up when I arrived 3. 3. I did not have the correct mast for the sail I needed to use 4. 4. The adjustable outhaul on the boom would not allow the boom to be extended sufficiently and I had to retie it 5. 5. My ratchet extension kept slipping and I had to unthread it and use a different one 6. 6. When I put in a different extension the luff fabric got caught in the join, but I didn’t notice until the sail was fully downhauled, and the luff could not be pulled down properly 7. 7. The thread had stripped on the vent screw and I could not tighten it, or loosen it to remove it. I had to get pliers to get it out and replace it 8. 8. When I went to get changed the exceloo was in cleaning mode and I had to wait for it to finish before I could get in 9. 9. When I emerged from the exceloo it was raining on the other side of the river. 10. 10. by the time I had found my glasses it had started to rain on my side of the river and it was getting gloomy 11. There was enough wind to plane, but the water was choppy due to the super high tide, I could hardly see through the rain and my fogged up glasses, and I was the only sailor out, so I decided to call it quits after just a few runs.
Not a top 10 Melville day.
On a positive note, there were a good crew of Pinnaroos at the river when I arrived, most of whom got a better session than I did. Sorry I didn’t have time to chat. I was trying to get on the water while there was still some wind and fine weather.
