2445 days ago Fangyland with Swindy. Ended up feeling like a Sunday roast...Completely carved up by Swindy. Post more later
Chucked the Barge in at The Hook. But I couldn’t decide on sail size. In the end I made the mistake of going too small; Koncept7.5 and FF24. Swindy got it right and whacked in his SwoodyFF26 and KaR8.0 The end result was I got smoked on all points of sailing. In fact I got smoked so bad, that Swindy has taken pity on me and is making me a Swoody 26 out of one of my solid FF28’s. Thumbs up!
We had a decent early arvo session of lightish but consistent breeze before the rain came through and Huey cleared off. I saw lots of stingrays today and lots of baitfish jumping too and it left me wondering whether something had herded them all into the shallows…
For the first sail in the rain this year, it wasn’t too shabby, and defo Top Ten Fangy Day now I am getting a Swoody :-)

A lot of fun sailing in light air with Paul Wemys the only other starter. Given the wind available I was pleased with a couple of my jibes.
Managed to hold a bit of speed through the turn and make smoothish transitions but took a long time to get planing after the jibe .
May get the hang of it some day.

2445 days ago Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU. arrived at Slugger's spot to see him zooming around and the wind looking promising. Made an overly optimistic rigging choice and was chasing my tail trying to get right thereafter. Eventually got to the Falcon113/GPS7.3/Choco WS28. Way underfinned, slip sliding all over the place. Simon, thanks for the go on your Patrik - I like!. You were faster overall....

Got to Fangys to find Ross had delivered my company car to the foreshore, problem is its his old one but he assures me he will order the new one when I finish a 26 Swoody for him. I got out the new 22 Swoody to show him and he disapeared with it behind the tree for a while. While he was doing I dont know what I rigged perfectly for the conditions. As Fangy had made a poor equipment choice I decided to rub it in by pointing higher and going faster whenever I was near him. He didnt seem to mind too much....
Another succesfull voyage for the swoody 26 and cant wait to try the lightweight slimed down 22 when we get enough wind. With Mike making a new speed board I think we are in for a long doldrums though.
Good news, I am heading back to work next week as I am having more good days than bad now. I will be doing reduced hours to start and flexible if I have a bad day.

First time out in ages. Was really great fun and good to have Basil for company. The water was super clear and and the tide just right for a nice smooth patch to play in.
