Great to have some wind!! Made up for the lack of it latey, a bit much given the tide. A few going for the Nauty today but the moguls at the half way were insane. Had a blast. Went in to wait for the tide to go out as it was pushing 30 knots, but it was just to much given the water state.
Vando had a big off and not many wanted to sail after that. Hope it is not too bad mate, thoughts are with you!!

It was a great sail in 20 to 25kt SE in sunshine and boardshorts. Not much flat water but lots of fun on the F-race. Unforetuately Vando had a big off in the shallows and connected his middle back with something solid at high speed. He was abouat 400m off shore. He got himself in about 100m when he was joined by Dave and then latter Chriso, who had waded out to lend assitance. Glynn rang the ambulance and Trevor ran and got the lifeguard and stretcher. Although in a lot of pain, all his extremities were working. The Ambo's got him comfortable and then took him and Jodie to Princes Alexandra Hospital for scans and treatment.

Couldn't get comfortable today, I think it was a bit too hairy for me... Though glad to get out.

Washing machine conditions by the time i finally settled on a sail almost small enough to handle , high 20s, low 30s, gusting high 30s. Ended up just doing some "survival" training out the back on wave gear -- 4.8 severne S1, exocet wave 85.
Hope you are OK Vando -- looked nasty.

was having a good day until i hit the bottom or somthing at over 32 knots, end result trip to the ED and a fratured vertebra.
Thanks to all that helped me get a shore and rang the Ambo.
I was in a pretty bad state.
