Flying solo without my windgman today (Jnr at schoolies week) so decided to head to the lake to try for an hour, SE wind gusty and shifty got blown down the northern end of the lake and almost lifted several times in huge rain squalls. Wind stopped with 10 minutes to go and only just planning and long slog back up wind. Second hr attempt after lunch and wind was cranking again and couldnt see where I was going at one point through the rain, fell off 2 times in the hour and hit a fish and almost went over the front in the really rough choppy area in the southern part of the lake. Out with Pete, Paul, Zane Robbo Alva Dave and Merena and a few others later on. Just checked in GPS results and my first hour was the best one! the second hr was 21.03. | ||||||||||||||||||
