sboardcrazy (25098km): 0-25kts WNW - W Myall shores Mungo Brush, NSW, AU 6.2m OD- RS4 ( 111ltres) - 36cm drake pointer 37 degrees and beautiful swimming in the am. The wind kicked in after lunch and I couldn't get enthused..5 mins of overpowering full on conditions then big patches of nothing.. I didn't expect much but ended up really enjoying it although it was full on at times.. Small sail on the big board..heading upwind when it got too ballistic.I was surprised at how well the big board handled although I wasn't game to really go for it in the bearaways in the gusts..Headed up where the others were waiting to do slalom. Nice long snadbar with chest deep water.. Knowing I could stop and stand up if it got too ballistic helped ..Took it easy and didn't try any gybes in the over the top stuff. Got one great run across to the other side following Byron , Murray etc.. I wasn't game to bear off as much as them but it was fun! Surprisingly 'flattish" at times going that way.. Not a bad speed for me in the chop.. It got very patchy after the others went in and the wind must have been veering around as I had a hard time getting downwind..I misplaced where the launch was and came in too high. The arm was getting wrecked with the unhooked on / off type sailing so I just walked the board back down to save my arm. Surprisingly fun! Well we had the full gambit from full on to barely enough but I scored 4 days of fun sailing in good company. The park is lovely and lush , private , with roos, goannas, ducks , dusky moorhens , bandicoots..all tame and wandering around.. Thanks for all your work guys! | ||||||||||||||||||
