GPS Challenge in Cervantes.
Pretty windy, I'd guess it was 25-30K, and I was lit on the Gladiator 90 + 6.5 Turbo + 27 Tribal WS combo.
Tacked upwind and thought I'd go for an hour first. Did one mega run out to the island and back, but it was crazy rough with half mast high breaking waves out near the island, so after one trip there I decided shorter runs close to shore were the go.
20 minutes in I gave up on the hour completely, decided there was no way I could sail uninterrupted for 60 minutes in 25K+ with crazy chop, and went for some speed runs along the shore where the other guys were gathered. Happy enough with the speeds, as the run in to the beach for the bearaway was nuts.
Finished off with a NM run back to base, but I started to back off a bit too soon, as I was knackered by this point.
Crazy sesh. Kinda nuts going for speed in those conditions, but once you got used to the ballistic wind it was actually good fun.

Day before the race. Got to Cervantes about 3pm when most people already had a good run. Apparently 70 plus entrants which is much more than last year and the year before combined maybe. Wind was picking up by this time and looked pretty wild from the beach. Rigged the wave sail and went for an hour. Rough water and breaking swells made for some close calls but luckily no damage to gear or body. Spotted a few fast guys going for runs near the start line. Went over there to find nice flat water but quite short runs. hopefully tomorrow brings more wind but less swells.

Another session in the Melville Gusts with Jase and Tim. Used the Manta 106lt instead of the 98lt and got more momentum between the gusts. Used the same Vapor 6.4 wp 27. Always enjoyable to windsurf.
