Lilacs, Albany, WA. Scary but I liked it. W54, RB 5.6, FF20.

Lilacs, Albany, WA. A bit more wind than yesterday showed how great this spot was. Tide was too low for nauti runs without jibes, and runs during the hour were just 1.3 km long, so even though my jibes were surprisingly decent, I could not get the 25 knot hour. Still happy with a couple of PBs Cool. JP112, RB 7.0, FF22 for hour and alphas, then Isonic W54 for a few runs when Nina stopped, and picked up a couple of extra knots in top speed.

Thanks, everyone.

Stroppo, I remembered your comment about the nose riding high today. Had the same issue when I switched to the speed board - the mast track position that worked for the 6.3 was not quite right for the 7.0. Moved it forward a bit, and things felt a lot better. Got a top-5 speed with the 7.0 Smile

Anita, you're correct .. I always concentrate on the boom shaka now, which helps. Probably should switch to focus on something else that needs work, like sheeting in. Dot took pictures, and Nina sheets in a lot better than I do..
