sboardcrazy (25098km): 12-25kts NW Packem Pt Lake George, SA, AU 7mOD- RS4 (111ltre) - 24ff then 7m - 87iso- 21.5FF then after ;unch 6.2m OD - 80ltre iso - 20cm FF ( a few runs and 2 sec) then 21.5cm FF Then back to RS4 - 6.2m - 24FF and swapped to iso80 and back Got there at 9am hoping for a relaxed sail. Rigged 7m and the big board in 12-18kts Nw .27.7 kts on that which isn't bad for the barge. Cruisey for an hr or so then it kicked in. Pretty powered up with the 87ltre and 7m- got 28.85 which is good for me and that combo in 10"+ chop. After lunch 6.2m - 80ltre - 20cm FF .Got the 2 sec on that and persevered for a bit but decided I was hanging like a sack of spuds by this time and needed the big fin so I didn't have to try and be careful. Last 10nm were challenging. I swapped back to the RS4 as it's a chop eater and by now I didn't have the energy to be bounced around by the little board. Each run was 1 nm. Maxed out in the gusts ( pity the watch had died as I would have liked to see tthe speeds.).Not much point in hoping for decent 2 secs on that combo though.. Would have been good to be on the 80ltre with a 5m at the end as there was a lot of 25kts.. I ended up bearing off in the lulls so I could work up in the gusts. The wind just seemed to be building.. Pity as if I wasn't so maxed out I would have gone longer but it was getting too risky. Lucky the starpost hazard was marked as I gybed at speed and missed it by inches..The post was under water so if it wasn't marked you wouldn't have known until you hit it.. I hadn't planned to go for distance but I'd done 75kms by lunch so I aimed for 100kms..then when I got 105 ( watch battery died here) I figured I may as well try for a PB. To finish it off the mast was jammed with sand. There was a bit of swearing and threats going on but it didn't listen..Gave up trying to separate it and stuck it on the roof until the musclemen at the caravan park pulled it apart. Thanks guys! Just Neil & I in the am, then Glynn, Chris , Kato, and a few others? Met decrepit, Dot,Peter and Nina. Sorry guys I was a bit of a zombie by then. Sorry my brain is fried..zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
