Old Salt (13930km): Nice run with the team. Started before the breeze filled in so had to come in and change down when she finally turned up. Chris was smashing it on speed, enjoyed watching him outpace Dave for a while The Dawg was also frothing before heading out with a 7+ as we were all coming in to change down a size. Big effort from him, and thanks for finally cleaning your new winter weapon out of my shed! As for Dave, well I think thats a captains knock by getting a new distance record for the local turf! BSN101 (13816km): SBUS147 Tribal SL52 NP V8 7.7 JPSS125 CLSL38 NP RSX Convert 7.0 We or I faffed about too long about heading to Augusta for a sesh with the WWA kids and it could have gone the other way but alas it was plenty windy down there. Missed out. And there was also plenty windy here too. Steve Chris and I out on our US147s having a fab blast around. After 35km or so we all arrived at the beach to contemplate what’s next. Chris bailed as his back was complaining and he had a date with a pint or 2. Drew hit the water while Steve and I sorted fresh smaller kit. I was expecting a good sesh with more wind so went straight to the lower clew hole of the RSX. I had the harness lines all wrong and the sail a bit too flat but persevered until it was right. I didn’t bother with the OH as the building wind made the sail spot on. Flew up wind too. Steve and Drew were flying around and I was pretty much on the other tack all the time. I saw drew go in but did another 10km looking for the little red sail (6.2 Maxh2 OD) until I spotted it on the beach. My queue to come in for a brew. Great to have 4 on the water today at the local. Great session fellas. West Busselton, WA, AU | ||||||||||||||||||
