Lyttelton Harbour, 10-15 kts, nice sail for 20 minutes, stopped to put more power into the rig and the wind died and then had a big grovel to get home.

Autumn dodgy winds.

Lyttelton Harbour. ..Tabou 108, Overdrive 6.2, fin Select 34 - Poor choice of fin, and took too long rigging and putting on 3 layers of neoprene, still I was very glad of it when it came to swimming back in. Have figured out from my GPS tracks that I swam approx. 190 metres to get to the farthermost ramp at the yacht club, ..although that figure belies the fact I was being helped quite significantly by the tide which inexplicably appears to circle back on itself to fill the area in front of Naval Point.
