Patchy 5-20kts W Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU then 25kts plus - Level 0.51m

 7m M2OD- 87ltre iso - 21.5cm FF ( cutdown 24)

Thought about taking the 111ltre board out and it would have been better for the first hr but I'm glad I didn't have it when the wind hit! The 87 was getting thrown around.

Tried a few alphas but couldn't time it so I had any wind on the exit. I've got a head cold so I wore out quickly  and was too tired to gybe. Some flatwater to be had if you could catch a gust and find a flat patch. Got a few ok gusts then it picked up. Thought about getting the 80ltre but it died again.

When it first hit I decided to go for a bearaway. Waterstarted and hooked in as i came up then bore off straight away to get the flatwater. The board got lifted out of the water ( felt  30cm above the water but probably only 15cm)..Laughing . I managed to get it down and went for it and got the 2 sec.

Decided it was time to go in. The fangys are usually rock solid but even it was letting go occasionally . I was sliding sideways mega overpowered..Laughing

Decided to walk it in as it was safer. Tiring though.

Came in and derigged and had lunch intending to go back out but everyone was coming in saying it was ballistic and mega choppy. the guys were rigging 4.5m's so I decided to use my headcold as an excuse and give it a miss..Wink Probably would have been ok but I'm buggered now so I made the right choice.

Took a few pics that I'll edit and put on seabreeze when I get a chance.

Anything that's decent from Ssw clockwise through NE.No good in SE ,SSE.E.

Peel st for ENE through to W. WSW - S best launched from Buff point.

Best level for flatwater probably 0.28 -0.34  roughly..0.53 atm.

Levels from Wallarah water station.See Tuggerah Lakes link bottom hrs of Andrews webcam.

Often doesn't get as much as Lake Macquarie. BOM  wind map on Met eye  is a good guide to which will be better.

Thanks Maree.. I only got the start of it .You needed a fin you could trust.. one reason I didn't go back out was I didn't think I'd be able to trust the tribal and the FF are a bit untried in the 70ltre.. Not the day to be trying new fin setups..

Laughing

Some pics I took from the launch..
