Insane conditions - you had to see it to believe it. Walls of white mist, willie-willies,
Rigged (wrong) in a lull and had one suicidal run down to Windang and back on the 6.3 North Warp.
Re-rigged more sensibly to the 5.7 North Warp and venture out again finding some partial weedbergs out off the middle caravan park but very small, very difficult to come in hot and get a double tap just upon entering the 20-30m of flat water behind the weedbergs.....then oh what fun re-entring the chop and trying to land the whole thing without a big off. Even hunkering down in the water during the unsailable gusts was a risk to your safety. Water was dropping and wind was easing as I left so the hardy souls who stuck it out for the arvo may just get some magic conditions.

What a ballistic day. I haven't seen Primbee like that in years. 50kt gusts, very choppy and amongst it was a weed bank that showed promise but was just too short. I was struggling with the out of control wind, just not enough body weight to hold down a 5.8, but I think everyone was having the same problem. Then on the last few runs of the day I tried bearing away on the other tack away from the weed bank, choppier and squarer over the back of the waves and a much longer run. On the last run I also managed to line up a ballistic gust, which almost pulled me over the front, but I managed to hold onto it, only crashing at the end trying to round up. I knew it was fast but I was very surprised to see 44.94 on the dial. That was it for me, my body had had enough, too many crashes and too cold.
Congratulations to everyone who sailed in those conditions today. Top effort.

1743 days ago Lake had it's angry face on today at Primbee. It was brutal out on the water and I'm glad I waited a few hours until the water level dropped a bit and the wind had moderated from "ridiculous" to "extreme". Lots of standing around waiting for squalls to pass. Not much flat water to be found. There were a few weedbergs to tuck behind but the runs were very short and powered you straight into hellish chop. Had one stack at 38.5kts and saw many others. Kudos to all who braved it today. Watched MT's last bearaway, it was insane considering the conditions, I'm sure he'll tell you more about it. Well done mate it was great to watch!!
