Fun little arvo sesh after work.  Got out on the water around 2pm~ managed to convince B1 to join... Enjoyed some nice cruisy runs pretty much parallel to the 3 beaches today (Machans, Holloway's & Yorkeys) in approx 11-14kn predominately ENE winds.

Had a decent stack mid sesh, going straight over the handle bars after the fin hit something (not sure what!) in the water when travelling at a reasonable clip...  Bit puzzled, but thankfully no damage done...

Timed it nicely when calling it a day to sail back into base just as the wind started to drop out.

Queen Bill said he also enjoyed himself- think we were both pleasantly surprised. Smile

Used the big gear- "Big Woody" Futura 124, Severne M2 8.6, Venom 48

"Long May our Big Jibs Draw!"

Well, that was an unexpected fun little session at the Mud Pit in 11-15 kts,  E-NE with B2.

Bit tough heading south with the SE swell rearing up atr times, but overall, smiles were had. No chance of anything major in the speed department, so I just decided to head out wide and cruise along. Really liking the 43 on the 72SB, really lightens up the rear end and im not losing to much lift when attempting to pump up on to the plane in the some times marginal breeze. B2 was about 20 mins ahead of me today so he shpuld bring home the KM's , but I reckon the rest will be reasonably close. Great arvo out.

Used: WT72 SB, WT43, 7.8 ODM2

Thats a good bunch of pretty close numbers - North &  South. Nothing better than being out on the water. Well done gents.

Yes Billy, nothing is better than having a good sail and been on the water, off to Burrum today to try and get a sail across the sand flats.
