Went to Budgie anticipating a strong N/E. They say "rig for what you've got, not what you want" wise words.

Anyway decided on the Falcon Speed 51 , R8 Overdrive 5.7 and Tectonics 17 Speed Demon. Had to walk to and from the windline , good execise I suppose but that's what happens when you rig too small a board and sail and it's 5-20 knots .

Still, I had some fun in the gusts and everthing felt nice on the few occasions the the wind was strong enoughSmile. Really enjoy the feel of a small board, sail and flat water , just need the conditions to suit it. Lake George in February ,here we comeCool.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

Exocet RF91, Naish Foil, TRX 7.0 - Wind NE 12-15 knots

*Data from my Garmin as my GT31 is sick after getting wet at Myall Lakes

Fun after work foil session at Marmong.  Tried out a new Naish front wing.  A few knots faster but not quite the same low end as my current one.

Well done to Greg and Lyds on those super foil speeds at Coalie.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU, 15-25kts NE

Isonic 90, North 7.0 and 20cm Kestrel

Took a chance and headed to Budgie today. It hasn't been a great season for NE down there, so I was happy to see some wind when I arrived. Rigged the 7.0 and headed out and spent the entire afternoon doing alphas. Sadly the area we sailed the NW last Monday had become a weed island so we had to sail on the edge of that which left only a tiny strip before the nasty chop appeared. Had a few 23's early on, but once the crowds arrived I could only get 22's. When everyone went home things got better.

Again today we had a nasty patch of satellite reception where the GW60 did some funny things. It recorded this 2 sec run of over 37, which in my opinion did not happen. Only 5 satelites and a high doppler error.

10-23kts plus NE Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.20

5.5m Mach2- 80ltre iso- 21.5cm FF ( cutdown24)

I would have liked to go to Coal again but I was too tired to take on the chop and I needed a gybe refresher course.

I was hoping to try for some alphas but it was too patchy and I found it hard to get wind for the exit and to get upwind. First gybes were Rs but gradually came good and got some nice ones although they didn't translate into decent alphas. Worked on my technique and getting rid of a few bad habits.

Used the FF as it was pretty choppy by Budgy standards and I didn't want to have to worry about the tribal spinning out.

That's a good 2sec for that fat foiled fin..I wasn't really going for speed but copped a good gust as I was going for my gybe course and made the best of it.

Didn't feel I was sailing very well , upwind etc.Probably not enough wind as the few times I scored a decent gust I flew upwind.

Still blowing but I was getting a headache and sailing like a sack of spuds so I called it a day. The watch dropped out for 2kms so the distance is actually 37kms but I posted with the watch as the rest of the stats were better.

Al , Pugs, Pete, Andrew, Nigel , Norm , Milsy and others..zzzzzz
