Port Douglas with Ed....Cracking afternoon in the PD Soup. Not many latte sippers on the beach today Cool. The rain this morning sent them scuppering away indoors i reckon. Shame, the afternoon was sensational.

15-20 for the first 2 hours then it jumped a knotch to 20-25. That was my cue to bail, but otherwise it was a great arvo. First time posting with the new Motion. Takes a little bit of getting used to , especially the GPSSpeedReader site, but super easy when you work it out. Didnt even need instructions!!!

Super happy with the 2 sec today considering it really felt like one was smashing into the swell all day to keep upwind so one didnt have a walk of shame back to the carpark. Blatted too and fro with Ed just about all arvo, at times only M's apart, doggin each other.

Used: SB72, WT43, 7.8ODM2 - sleep well tonight. Been 3 weeks since our last swaree in to Coral Sea.

Port Douglas, QLD, AU.. Billy came up to port today 'on a mission from god'..He got all his work done early and i had lost interest by 1130 and he had mannaged to drag my sorry ass down the beach for a early arvo sail..I had know idea what the wind was gunna do and i wasn't in sail mode,it was all too early for me..But Billy told me to stop whinging and go sailing..It turned out that he had made the right call and we got a couple of hrs of good blasting in..Did a few down winders  but the Fox didn't have the legs to stay with Billy on his go fast gear..So i lost interest and sailed back up the beach and spent the rest of the session chop hopping Fox was running sweet but Wind picked up to over 20kts in the last hr and 105 Fox was getting a bit nervous carrying a40cm fin and a fully lit up 7m rig in a choppy sea so had to pull up and do a fin change to 38cm or else it would of ended badly ..I dropped a couple of gybes towards the end of the session i was getting low on fuel but it still annoyed me a bit.. Billy had his big rig dialed in nicely and he didn't put a foot wrong the whole session. all good fun and he gets 'Man of the Match'..Glad he made the effort to get me out on the water..  nice one mate..Yer Guess it was worth rigging up for. Cheers Ed..

Fangy, I wasn't going to mention anything, but it appears Bill & T-Ed were holding hands again for the nauti...  Perhaps they might have grabbed a couple more knots with some more focus... Laughing
