hoppybogan (26363km): Stansbury, SA, AU 15=20+ SSW-S FF102,6.6 GPS, 28Lessacher weedy AB110,6.6GPS, 28 lessacher weedy Nice turnup today with J, Chris, Luke and Dave sailing. Great to catch up with J and sail with the camera on. It was still great conditions for sailing when i came in but i had jelly legs so called it quits. Great day with the guys
mikewho (2720km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU. used 5.5 wave sail with wave fin on 99l hawk, good wind fun sail. good turnout, should be some good figures.
Jimbob (26496km): LG from the spit. SSW to SSE 12 to 16. not a white cap. usual freeride gear F2stoke 117, 24 weedy, 6.5 Ezzy Lion. called into Packins for a look and my teammates where there sailing, made the hard call to leave them and go to the spit and sail by myself again as its only got 2 weeks left behind the spit before its too shallow weedy and its all over and I knew the wind would be way way much netter there. as it was I was leaving lines in the weed along the whole run. pretty constant breeze as was doing full planing gybes the whole time and didn't miss one, Ive been out the bay last half dozen sails in the swell and chop so it was so easy today, there was a couple football size areas that where flat as man so just hung around there.. full cloud cover today so a sunny day will be wow. out the end of spit water only 10 centremetres or so over weed and big areas with weed on top. a nice cruisy day.

Captain bogan (50760km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU - 18 to 23. Another after work sesh. Arrived to a decent breeze and a few guys on the water. Sam was already up the top cranking along and found out he'd already done 100 miles by 2pm. With the 5kg's i have lost lately decided on the 87 and 6.3. Never really fully lit but planned most of the the time. Nice cruisy sesh with a good turnout and a nice beer with Sam at the end discussing his day . Well done Sam - you really are the MAN . Patrik 87 / 6.3m 2020 ka race / Black project R325.
Sammy (43276km): Wow what a day.
2 ports and 300 plus km. Got to boggy at 9am with the aim of some good distance today knowing that the wind was going to be good all day.
So rigged had a port one went out. After a gybe at the 70km mark the 7m pryde blew the 3rd panel from the top out. Oh crap. So thinking my distance day was toast I went in. I was overpowered on the 7m pryde with a 42.5 fin in my 114 falcon board.
Got back to shore thinking because I was overpowered I'll rig my 6.3 and all will be good.
Ummmmm. Where the f__k is my 6.3. Oh my f__king God not again. Left the bugger home. You would think I would learn after lake George when Jimbob saved me. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
So after contemplating the 1hour round trip to get it I decided why not rig bigger even though I was overpowered on the 7m 🤔🤔🤔🤔. So up went the 7.8 severne on the same board should be good yeh.
Ha ha well after another small port I went out with the 7.8 and it had max downhaul and outhaul. It was usable for sure but way overpowered. Considering I was doing some distance this wasn't going to be pretty 😂😂.
So after a bit Chris dimond and leon joined me which made me feel better. I was going well trying to conserve energy and hit a carp at the 140km mark doing roughly 50kmph. Went over the front but no damage. Bit of mark on the front of the board though 😏😏😏😏
Think I was pushing my unfit body a little hard as I got a nose bleed between about 210km and 250 so yes it took a while to stop.
Caught up with Carl who I had a chat with at the 260km mark and then sailed till the 300km distance was reached. Had a great day and cheers Carl for the beer at the end of the sesh. This morning I was 96kg and tonight I was 92kg dehydration most likely. Went the last 240km without a drink. May also have something to do with the nose bleed.
Any was great to push myself to my limits and beyond for the day and don't regret it.
Most people were on 5.5 to 6.5 sails to put it into context 😁😁. Hope you all enjoyed this story and like all distance days it was not uneventful 😁😁
Oh I also DOWNLOADED with one GPS thanks mods 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nobody here except us chickens (12007km): Stansbury, SA, AU. Ohh, the elusive 30. Couldn't get it. Wind was good, but chop pretty poor. I give Stans 5/10 today for flatness (better than Boggy though). Possible causes (what we think): storm surge making tide higher than it should be, and the razor fish were buryed, which (my pet theory) they make the water smooth. So, Hoppy wasn't able to give the clams a what for with his metal fin today. As Hoppy said, five sailors out. Good to meet up with Luke and Chris again and I bet Dave is still out there :). Packed the camera boom. Both me and Hop had a go on it. I'll post a video on SB in the next few days. Below are some stills. 5.5 Ezzy Cheetah, 92 Patrik Slalom ][, 22 MUF speedweed. https://www.ka72.com/Track/t/416972
Jack Bogan (3757km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU 5.5 KA Race on the 92 Patrik to start. Had a few runs in the rough then it dropped out a bit so put on the 6.3 KA Race. Never realy settled today in the rough stuff. Should have went for the 6.3 to start with and gone over to the smooth area.
