Another great day on the lake surreounded by awesomely skilled and fun sailors.
It was a pretty good forecast for mid to hgih 20's and it did deliver. I tried the 17cm Techtonics with the IS80 and 5.7m but it was just a bit too small and I was spinning out upwind in the rough stuff. Came in and swithched to CA40 and 5.2m, but found I was underpowered so came back in again and took slalom gear again but with the 21 cm speed demon. This was the sweet spot and I had a ball.
The glassy strip up the top (SE) of the lake was awesome and had some nice gusts, I got one magnificent gust that really tried to stand me up for the best run. It had definitly picked up a couple of knots as I came out again.
I went for a few alphas and was very pleased with the one I nailed. Hard to get a better NM though. I might have to try a different location tomorrow.
Getting the 40 on the new slalom board was about as close to a PB as I can get these days.
Hoping to be powered up on the speed board tomorrow.
My sincere apologies to Glynn for ruining has day.
IS60 with 17cm and then 21cm Techtonics Speed Demon and 2020 KA Speed 5.7m. CA40 with 5.2m KA Speed and 17cm Choco modded Curtis.
