I took the afternoon off to join Vando, Jayson, Kevin, Trev and later Mark in a gusty southerly ay Wello. It was 25+ for about an hour. Its a pity this did no co-incide with the flatest water later in the afternoon. I had a big crash going for a hero gust in some knarly water beofre the low tide. I was a bit wobbly afterwards on my legs for a minute or two. Thanks Vando for coming over to see if I was alright. The new helmet cetainly helped. It took a while and some flatter water to get my confidence up for some decent runs. As the water flattend out, unforetunately it became a bit of a lottery with the gusts. Definitely worth the effort.

That was FUN!! 15-25 knots of gusty shifting  S-SE. Chop was sphincter clenching at times. Out with Kev, John, Vando & Shane.
