Sailquik (29582km): Lake George SA. Back for the WE. :-) The wind today was a bit less than expected and hoped for. Barely more than 20Kts in the gusts. Just enough to sail the 5.7m on the IS80. It was fun to try for a 1 hr but I was still a but underdone and had to run downwind for the first half to keep a reasonable speed around 26-27 knots. This is where Logit speed talk is quite useful. Down level with the islands there was a bit more steady wind and I was able to maintain 28-29 knots about half of the time. The weed is very think between the islands and I could really feel the drag. The funny thing was I could pull 30-31 knots sometimes across the wind but barely able to go any faster on he bearaways. Really great to see Barry again and have a good chat. Tony was flying as usual and Neil was cruising on his big board. The Bogans were out to climb the ladder but it didnt look like there was a enough wind. We taught Capt'n Bogan a new way to seperate his jammed mast. Good times! Hoping for a kick in the wind tomorrow arvo. 2017 IS80, 2020 KA Speed 5.7m, Speed Demon 21cm fin.
