Port Douglas, QLD, AU' Happy hr Port Douglas.'.Mannaged to get down the beach for a late arvo blast, had a nice breeze blowing so rigged no cam 7m in full crank down mode on 105 fox with 40 cm black project fin.Didn't take long for wind to freshen right up to a solid 20kts with some good gust coming through sea got rough and it was on..Fox ran sweet all arvo even though it was getting a bit over powered with a bit much fin..Used my old gorilla mast i got of Billy a few seasons ago am trying to save my new one a bit. The only problem is i think i like my old mast more than the new gorilla mast, the old one seems to twist off better when the big gust come through which kept me and the Fox happy when the going got tough..Just not sure how many kms those mast will actually do before they finaly break and make you have a long swim home..Am trying to avoid that a bit these days..Started to run out of fuel as the sun was going down so it was game over.. Dropped a couple of gybes towards the end and got spat off on my last run home which 'spoilt the moment' a bit.. Think i hit some seaweed fully lit up it was getting a bit hard to see it as the sea was getting really chopped up and the sun was going down.. the damage report for a rather tuff session isn't to bad had a panel blow out on no cam 7m same place as last time had sail tape on both sides of repair  but it still got shredded for some reasion..Have got a rooted shoulder at the moment was hoping a good blast might fix it but it doesn't feel to flash at the moment...You get that some times..Guess it was worth rigging up for..Cheers Ed..
