1493 days ago Another quick splash at Fangyland, this time with Pas, Iain and a bazillion crabs!! At one stage when I was walking out I had what seemed an unceasing shower of crabs rocketing past me with a flash of blue claws as they scurried toward the deeper water. A very good day for booties!
Making the gumby mistake of overestimating how much the wind would strengthen because BoM said it was going to be on the fresh side of things, I rigged a bit small and left myself with no sail pressure to do a speed run. Time for Plan B... I thought I would make use of the flat water in the alpha spot and have a crack at a couple of alphas on the old Missy Flow for a change. Despite having 28-30 knots on the dial on the entry, I ran too wide and ended up with nothing. Doh!
Nice to be on the smaller kit for a change - Missy Flow, Koncept7.0, FF22

1493 days ago Peel Inlet, WA, AU CA66 koncept 6.2 fangy 21 speed. A good breeze and very low water meant that speed runs were the order of the day. Rigged the right gear for the conditions of the day for a change and had a jolly good time. Nicely powered up on the 6.2 and felt comfortable on the CA and was surprised how well I was able to go upwind today as well. There was a really good crowd of sailors out and all going quick. Sunny, windy and great company, who could ask for more?

Rooky error tonight after advising everyone to get the sailing in before I hit the water I get sucked in by seeing Hardz flying around on his speed board and a smaller sail, so I went out on my speed board.
Sure as egg's fall from a chickens cloaca the wind started dropping as soon as I hit the water. couple of runs over the other side and almost getting stuck over there convinced me the larger board was necesary.
Once that was in place it was loverly, apart from the first run out I could line up a gustr in the flats so just had fun getting my arse handed to me every which way by Jake blasting around.
Nice to work on a bit of fitness, I think next time it's like that I may try out Novara for some proper lumpy goodness and work more on fitness.
Good times, Nice work Team legends, great speeds today

1493 days ago wooo hoooo! been waiting for that all Winter!
Very nice Liptons session, started on my own with the 55, 6.2 and 20@55, this was great at the start but by the time Remery and Waricle arrived it was getting a bit of a handfull, so I changed down to the 48, 5.7 with 19@55. This combo is soooo nice just effortless blasting. Hardie, Elmo, rayman and windsup also made an appearance, lots of fun had by all
also pleased my DIYlogger upgraded my GW60 34.95 to 35.037
Obviously I stayed at Liptons, it was so good I didn't bother with the chop on the way to Pt Grey. I was only interested in speed and alphas today. I thought the alphas could have been better, but like fangy I was going in too broad and ended up too wide
