Choco (14568km): Crappy directions and messy chop got a few runs before pulling the pin, watch was playing up abit today losing signal and going on and off. Lake Bonney FF114 6.4 34
Trousers (14352km): el Bog, w-wnw 17 gusting to 30kts. The forecast had looked too much, too west, so I was going to give it a miss. but the morning's obs were down, right in the sailable zone. it was risky, but eventually I caved in, packed and scooted to el bog. Only one there at lunch, it looked manageable with some brief-but-serious bullet gusts ripping through. I rigged my smallest, a 5.2hellcat plugged into a falcon 79l with a 28 black project weed speed. Sam, Jay and Leon rocked up so I set out. Very gusty, very lumpy. I planed mostly, but also spent a few runs white-knuckling it out of the harness, and occassionaly slipped out the fin over big chop. I was frequently knackered on arrival, so I might have attempted two gybes. Others had wavey/freeride gear with smaller sails and appeared to had much more fun. Jay came in grinning showing me thirty on the dial - he was lighting up, doing a heap of down winders, and making that gear go surpringly fast!
Nobody here except us chickens (11520km): el Bog. BP for Boggy. Started on my 5.5 Kasails race sail and 92L Patrick for no other purpose other than to wash all of the sand out of the sail from yesterday's disaster at Pelican Point. When I saw poor Trousers out of control on his 5.2 and 79 board, I knew I was screwed. And sure enough... damn it !. It would have been good to have this gear dailed in today (couldn't get the ****er up wind either ! ). So, rigged my small B&J gear (Naish 4.2 Force R1, 85 FSW, 20cm BP freeweed) and cracked a 30.4 instanteous within a few runs :). The small gear felt lovely. 5 blokes sailing in total: Trousers bogan, Sam S, Leon, yours truely, and new guy Shane. Trousers looked out of control on a few of his runs. Sam S did really well today. Leon did well too.
Peter Daish (26108km): Lake George, SA, AU Another cracker day , 20 to 25 then went to gusts of 30 , Uncle kevs saeted to smooth off all up the top as the wind blew the water level down since monday. satyed near spit most of day. had a visitor to our home called Jm bob today LOL . anyone else want to sail the greatest spot on earth then let me know. hehe. mistral 96 L speed with R8 7.0 with 27 TWS nice start but fully lit. gradually got to to 40 knots then massive gusts and some ball balls gave me 41.5 max . tried some alphas today. went in and change to 8oL patrack with 6.2 and 23 TWS could only massage another knot faster with 41.96 max. really needed Jp speed with the 5.7 but having too much fun to change down. Great sail Rob who stacked it at 33 knots capapult and was after that a mess but still sailed for another 50 kms. Thanks mate. great day

JP 54/70 slalom with 24 choco weedy, and went comfy option 4.9 Loft racing blade. took a bit to get used to this after wave gear lately. quick blast after lunch as didn't have much time, really don't like gusty west wind much just stayed out front. had a bigger speed on my watch but didn't come out here. at least the watch actually downloded first couple goes. was nice to meet Rob again.
