Trousers (14352km): el Bog, lone ranger on a lumpy and loaded sw to 27kts. Arrived at lunch to an angry bog. I should have tried harder to make y'day work like most others. Knowing it was forecast to get windier, I was reluctant to go up to the flatter section without company, so I back and forthed from the launch site. After a heavy 'pult early on, I sailed in bursts betweeen gusts that were too much for my detuned 6.2 Mach One tacked onto the Falcon 79l. I tried a few weed fins, fighting to keep board trim in hand over the rolling chop, and ended with the BP weed speed 21cm, settling things down a touch. After an hour of it I was knackered and the gusts seem to be angrier, so I called it a day.

Kraken Bogan (2234km): Lake George, SA, AU Epic session with Daishy and Tricky, started on Mach 3 -7.0 , blew out panel so rigged 6.2 and the trusty Patrik 87 with Lockwood speed 18, used Daishys 20 which was faster and better upwind !! Big kudos to Daishy on massive 320km and 27 hour !! | ||||||||||||||||||
Tricky Bogan (21799km): LG Recon sail with Peter & Rob, was a strange day for Rig once Tricky. Rigged the LoftRB 7 CASL 101 & FF22 as it was up & down and wanted to make sure I could get a good look over the lake. Jaged on great gust for my peak on the flat stuff, Thats a PB for that combo. Then it kicked up a notch so in for the 6.3 on the Isonic87 16 tribal, well that was under finned so back in for the 19 techtonic, that was better but still not the goods. Pete wanted backup for his hour so changed to the 21 Techtonic that was just right. Note to self dont start an hour after 3.5 hours of sailing and expect it to be easy. The rest of the day was up & down with the wind gusty could never grab a gust on the sommth stuff. Great day but was I knackered left the boys to colck up some more KM's. |
