sboardcrazy (24418km): 14-23kts ENE Coal Point, NSW, AU 5.7m gator - Windtech 57 ( 90ltres) - 24cm WT stealth fin then B & J WT 85ltre MB waveboard with 23cm fin Nice to have some decent wind for once. I started rigging the 7m but it kicked in as I rigged so I changed to the freeride sail. The harness lines never felt right today. I don't know whether the sails CEO was moving around more ? I had moved the mastfoot forward . Got a few powered runs back past the point . I'm a bit disappointed at not cracking 26kts but it was pretty lumpy and the freeride sails certainly don't have the grunt off the wind. Still the nm is my second best for the lake and the 5 x 10 is pretty good for me. I hate muffing gybes and falling in. I think I need to lower my sights , chill out and just keep trying.. I was dodging the 1m ramps with the fast kit. At the end I put a larger fin in the 85ltre and went back out.. Boy the wave gear is a lot more laid back than the fast in those conditions. I had a few jump attempts but I didn't have much luck as the better ramps were above the point. It was fun playing around on the swells. I got one really tidy gybe and decided to quit on a good note.. The last ride in was pretty full on so I probably needed to rig down anyway. It seemed a pity to sit on the shore and waste good wind.. Just me and Andrew on the foil . Later Nic , Gert , James on fins , a winddinger , and a kiter who was trying to get out but got tangled lines and never did..Hugh foiled and then switched to fin but the wind died.
